Patience

Do you ever wonder why those annoying voices that interrupt the Muzak when you are on hold always say "Thank you for your patience" ? How do they know if you are waiting patiently or not? I'm generally trying to get some work done and not waiting patiently at all! I sometimes tell the voice just that, which leads to laughter and teasing by my office-mates. Then I find that I'm not only impatient but also embarrassed! Maybe it's a form of hypnosis or a not too subtle subliminal message "i'm thanking you for your patience, i'm thanking you for your patience...therefore when I finally take your call you are going to be happy and cheerful because you are such a patient person and, i'm thanking you for you patience, i'm thanking you for your patience...."
Just a meaningless blog but thank you (thank you for your patience, thank you for your patience) for listening to me vent!
Love to all - even that person behind the recording.

Bro - I know you well enough by now to understand your wonderful quirky sense of humor and recognize your facetiousness when it appears….else I wouldn't have replied with someone as silly as Steve Erkel (then again you may not even know who Steve Erkel is!?) Anyhoo, don't worry about “explaining” yourself to me ….I getcha! (having a very off-beat sense of humor myself we're generally of one mind when it comes to the ol' funny bone - although sometimes you do go over my head! Of course, that's just those damn blonde streaks I put in my hair coming thru)
haha, yeah. ok steve erkel is a little kid with oversized glasses, from some old sitcom.
yeah i watched tv when iwas a kid and in singapore we had tv imported from the united states. the programs i mean. i believe the tv my parents had was japanese, but it transmitted english programs just fine!
