What was the last thing you smiled about?

I smiled softly all day yesterday because my husband is finally home and I'm mad-dog in love with him.

I laugh and smile, full of delight, every time I look at my grandson, Jimmy, but especially when he is in his new walker.  He puts his arms up in the air and his little feet just move madly (he's not sure how it works, just that it does if he keeps them moving), and off he goes - when he stops he just bounces up and down and giggles because he's so pleased with himself!!!  It's adorable.  Just feeding him baby food is enough to amuse a whole room full of people.  The first few bites find him grimacing, unused to the new tastes & textures, but before long he lunges at the spoon, mouth wide open like a little baby bird! 

My son Derek is here and bored to death because he is used to Florida, warm air, and being outside ~ the cold and snow and "boredom" of winter are too much for him.  So he went and bought a bunch of board games and we have all been sitting around the kitchen table playing, competing, and laughing together.  I like it and wonder why I didn't think of it sooner?  Oh yeah, Amanda & Ryan get mad at each other and squabble, that's why, but even with that, we have been having a lot of fun playing games as a family and seriously enjoying one another.  I've even learned how to play cribbage, something I've always wanted to do.  I'm smiling just thinking about all of the above.
