Baby Jimmy finally decided to arrive. He made his arrival @ 8:15 lastnight (June 16, 2008), weighing in at 6pds 10oz. I still have no idea how long he is or any pictures except on my cell phone and I don't know how to email them to myself although I do know it's possible (a lot of good that does me, huh?). Anyway, everything went fine, mother and son are well, and Dad Zachary (my son) is too in love with the little guy to make much sense or give me the details that I keep asking for! ;0)
It's so surreal to have my baby having a baby. I think this might mean that I'm officially old, but that's fine with me.

Congratulations, Granny!
Congrats, Ayla!
Welcome, Jimmy!
And wow, I think it's awesome that Zachary isn't making sense because he's so in love with the baby. To me that says a lot about his mom too (yup, I mean you, Ayla).
Oh, and congrats to the proud parents too!
Oh I'm having one of those tears of joy moments for you!!!! I'm so happy that baby Jimmy is here , healthy and oooooh yeah - all that LOVE!!! Love blossoms around babies!!!

Thank you dear friends. I know I haven't been around much and yet I stop in for a minute and find love and congratulations. How lucky I am.
Jimmy is 201/2 inches long - I got that much out of his Daddy! lol! Now I'm just trying to figure out a way to get back to Phoenix but will probably have to wait until Brad gets home in three weeks -oy! That's too long!
Love you all so much!
Ayla, haven't been round much here either, just found your blog post: Wonderful news, congratulations, dearest! No, it doesn't mean you're old, it just means you're a granny now - wow, something to get used to, I imagine! Granny's used to be these little old ladies with an oldfashioned hairdo and no sex life, but those days are loooonnnng gone, baby - you are a hell of one of the new ones! :)
A warm welcome to the little earthling, baby Jimmy, who already amazes the world with his smartness and good choice by taking care of getting born into becoming your grandson - good move, Jimmy, keep going!
Lots of love, dearest,
don't worry, time flies, you'll be there to hold the little darling in no time at all!

i am so happy for you and your son ayla. so sweet for you. love, jen
Bouncing baby boys (and girls) are really just little miracles, as far as I'm concerned. I am so happy for you, for the proud parents and for little Jimmy to experience his first lovely summer. Thank goodness for AC!
I agree with Gabriele, what a smart one to pick you as Grandma. You are not old. Grandmas are not old anymore. Grandmas are just wiser and better at everything due to having experience.
I know you can't wait to see him and hold him and feel that baby soft skin. He's so adorable. I hope the opportunity comes soon.
Love you,
Andrea
