Who was the last person you passed by without speaking to?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for August 27, 2008:
I'm sort of a hermit so I don't actually pass by that many people and then when I do find myself out in public I turn into this big chatter box because I haven't spoken to any adults in so long that my social side goes into overdrive and I talk to practically anyone who will listen or pretend to listen. So . . . hmmmmm . . . oh, geeze, I just happened to think about the last store I went into, at my husband's request, my husband who has been gone for nearly five weeks and will be returning -finally- next week - and well, I'm realizing that this wasn't a good Q & A to respond to. I even asked the saleslady to please leave me alone (politely and with a bright blush). Okay. TMI as my kids would say. Should I push send?
Oh what the heck.
Oh what the heck.

Help

I had to ask my daughter what TMI meant (I'm so computer lingo inept) But….my friend always said that I could talk to a tree & I live in a city…go figure.I know when I walk past someone without recognizing their existence…it doesn't feel right.
maze, trees make the best listeners anyway! TMI isn't even computer lingo - oh well, maybe it is, but I learned it because my kids are forever saying it to me - “Moooooooooooom, T.M.I.!” It's true that I don't always know when to shut-up, when I feel like talking anyway. ;0) It's hard to recognize everyone's existence when you live in the city, though, isn't it? But I know what you mean. I remember moving from the city in Florida to a farming community in Michigan when my boys were little and the boys were so confused that everyone who passed us waved or gave us the “man nod”. “Who was that Mommy?” “I dunno” They liked it. Me, too.
