What would you like to celebrate?

Posted on Jan 6th, 2009 by ayla : Illuminated Skye ayla
This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for January 06, 2009:

My husband Brad's Birthday - definitely a "big" event to celebrate.  At six foot two, and 270 pounds, there is plenty of this teddy bear to love.  He was born exactly six months to the day before I was and even in the same hospital.  I'm not sure how it took me 40 years to find him when we grew up in the same town, attended the same school etc. but I do know that all of those years without him have given me a great appreciation for all that he is and all that he does.
Happy Birthday Darling!

(And thank you, lovely Ayla, for the story. How much more fairy tale can you get? :)

You sound like you’re still in love, Michelle. That’s something special. Like that fish, too. That must have made a nice dinner….

A happy birthday to Brad!

I love that photo, Ayla, reminds me of my own wimpy fishing days in Ontariariario (as we liked to call our neighbouring province, that foreign land with the good fishing). As a fisher, I always needed to have men around to string the bait, unhook the fish, etc. Didn’t mind pan frying them over a grill or open fire, though.

Your guys have such awesome smiles!

Love,
Ruth

Oh Centria, I am in love! & Siona, it does read kind of like a fairytale, doesn’t it?  Ya know, that was a tarpon they caught and I don’t think we did eat it … you don’t eat Tarpon, do you?  I’m pretty sure that fella got to go back into the drink, lucky guy.  So, sorry Joe, but no frying pan, at least not that day.  What, Ruthie, you don’t bait your own hook?  You girl, you!  ;0)

I get to tease Brad for six whole months for being an “old man”!!!  I love January -July!!!  Actually, my Jim, former husband, was 14 years older than me, so Brad will always be a “boy toy” to me, but it’s fun to tease him anyway.
