What can you do right now to make a positive difference?

This is in Response to the Questions and Reflections for May 01, 2009:
Here is what I do at this moment ~ I love spring asparagus that grows along the roadside here in Idaho. I don't love the litter that lines that same roadside (you wouldn't believe the litter in rural Idaho, I've never seen anything like it in any other state that I have lived), so I take a bag for the asparagus and two garbage bags for the trash. Unfortunately, the garbage bags get full much faster than the goody bag.

Cute sleeping baby! I used to live in Montana and LOVED spring asparagus! Good for you for cleaning up while you collect the lovely green spears….yum! Enjoy, sweetie!

You just sparked a hunger for asparagus that I had forgot. We have Morels and Chanterelles here to die for. I always take a bag and pickup the crap I find when I'm out in the woods. Good habit to pass on.
